As of recent evaluations, nearly 60% of LGBTQ+ individuals report feeling disconnected from community support systems, primarily because of geographical and social barriers.
These fragmentation issues hinder the effectiveness of local LGBTQ+ organizations aiming to address critical community needs. With limited infrastructure to support LGBTQ+ leaders and initiatives, the potential for collaboration remains underutilized. This situation calls for innovative solutions that leverage technology to promote unity and advocacy among LGBTQ+ communities.
The proposed funding initiative seeks to establish a digital resource hub tailored specifically for LGBTQ+ leaders throughout North Dakota. By creating a comprehensive online database, the initiative intends to connect individuals with essential resources, training modules, and networking opportunities. This resource hub will address the existing fragmentation by facilitating easy access to information and support for LGBTQ+ leaders, thereby strengthening community ties and collaboration.
